Q1 : What can I use telemedicine for?
Suitable conditions to see a Telemedicine Doctor include:
- Cough and Cold
- Diarrhoea / Food Poisoning
- Common Rashes / Eczema
- Constipation
- Acid Reflux
- Urinary Tract Infection
- Request for Repeat Prescription such as contraceptives, chronic / repeat medication
The use of telemedicine is for non-emergency cases only. This list is non-exhaustive.
Q2 : Do I need to prepare anything before the video consultation?
A photo ID (such as NRIC or driving licence) is required for registration for all consultations. No prescription, referral or medical certificate can be issued to anyone who is not using his/her real identity or assuming a false identity.
Q3 : Will I be charged if the doctor thinks that my condition is not suitable for telemedicine?
You will not be charged if the Doctor thinks that your condition is not suitable for Telemedicine.
Q4 : Will MCs be given and are they valid?
Yes, valid Medical Certificates (MCs) will be issued at the doctor’s discretion.
Q5: What are the charges involved in seeing the doctor with this telemedicine service?
You will be charged a consultation fee of $10 on top of the cost of medications prescribed.
